Otsego Club- The Tribute

This course is towards the top of my list as far as courses I have played in MI and would probably fit under the “hidden gems” category because you really do not hear a lot of people mention it as one of the nicer courses. Michigan Golf Magazine recently named this course number 8 on the list of public courses in Michigan. It is a ski resort in the winter so you know exactly what you’re getting into as you’re making the drive to the first tee box and going up and down huge hills/ski slopes! The perfect combination of difficulty and beauty and it is the epitome of northern Michigan golf! There are multiple holes with elevated tee boxes, pristine fairways, and plenty of views of Northern Michigan from every hole. Each time you get in the cart and go from green to tee box, there are elevation changes!

We have played this course multiple times and I prefer this course over all the courses at the treetops resort, which says a lot. Overall, it is a must play on any trip up north but especially if you are going to the gaylord area, this one should be on your list!

Cart Girl- none, make sure you get all of your booze before going out there because if I remember correctly there is no turn either

Price- $ (think it’s around $90)

Difficulty- 6.8/10. I don’t remember this course being extremely difficult, but it is easy to go through a dozen balls so make sure you stay strapped

Course- 8.3/10, course has always been in great shape every time we have played it.

Overall—8.8/10. Really should be a must play on anyones list if making a trip up to the Gaylord area. We drove an hour from Houghton Lake the first time and I would have done it again in a heartbeat on that same weekend trip! Well worth it
